The List: Kings of Oldsmobile Power is a record of Oldsmobile powered cars that are currently running around the world. If you drive a vehicle powered by an Oldsmobile factory produced block (no DRCE or Rocket Blocks) you can submit your data to be included on this list. All are welcome here -- NHRA, IHRA, Stock, Super Stock, bracket cars, dragsters, Quad-4, Aroura, street cars, 455, 303, 425, 350 etc...
What started as a hand-written document in a notebook over a decade ago has evolved to what you see here today. There are other places where this type of data is collected, but this is the only one that captures specific data relative to the performance of the car. The simple question that started this was; who is the fastest and how did they do it with Oldsmobile Power?
To be included all you need to do is submit the data requested. The sheet is updated minimally once per quarter but usually more often depending on how many updates received.
Oldsmobile racers, compared to the universe of drag races, is perhaps the smallest represented brand. With limited parts options and the fragility of the big block Olds, making big power and having it live are not compatible terms in Oldsmobile world. However, it's not impossible. Open these documents and discover how others have done it.
You have two options for downloading -- the PDF is a smaller file as it contains no pictures. The Excel document is sizable but contains pop-up photo's of cars and engines.
Thank you to the owners of www.RoadRageRacing.ca for hosting The List: Kings of Oldsmobile Power. Although I have no direct affiliation with this website they volunteered to help get this list posted for everyone to see and I thank them for thier efforts.
As the curator of The List: Kings of Oldsmobile Power, I thank all of the participants for their honesty and willingness to participate. To create a permanent record of Oldsmobile performance is important to enthusiasts with a love of the brand and of drag racing the world over.
